The son of an Oscar winner, Ed Begley Jr. is an indispensable character actor who made his first screen appearance on My Three Sons in 1967, and went on to score six consecutive Emmy Award nominations for his work on the acclaimed series St. Elsewhere. A Los Angeles native whose dad, actor Ed Begley, earned an Academy Award for Sweet Bird of Youth in 1963, he has done stalwart supporting work on hit series such as Six Feet Under and Arrested Development, and appeared on the big screen in projects by Woody Allen (Whatever Works) and Christopher Guest (A Mighty Wind). But he's perhaps best known these days as one of Hollywood's most outspoken environmentalists, a passion that has been the subject of a successful reality series (Living With Ed) and a best-selling book (Living Like Ed: A Guide to the Eco-Friendly Life).
