  • Doesn't the oxygen absorbers continue to absorb oxygen in the canning jar? Wouldnt it be better to store the oxygen absorbers in a mylar bag like your med?

  • @IllinoisPatriot2 There's only so much oxygen in the canning jar with the sealed lid on top. After all the oxygen is absorbed the canning jar is sealed similar to water canning.

    30 minutes for scissors?? Yikes! I have an old friend whose husband got so tired of having no scissors in the drawer that he attached a chain to one finger hole and the other end of the chain to the drawer lol

  • If you have a Food Saver you can use it to seal the Mylar,, well not vacuum sealed but heat sealed
