@PurpleUkuleleGuy: The way Martin Wheatley (the great Martin Wheatley) teaches them is like this: DOWN-up-down, UP-down-up, etc. For single triplets I use "\/finger-\/thumb-/\finger, \/finger", but I prefer playing continuous triplets Martin's way (i.e., \/-/\-\/, /\-\/-/\).

That's all very well for triplets, but what if you're playing continuous triplets? They wouldn't sound right; the pattern alternates between down-up-down and up-down-up.
