@LightningStormz401 The series and movie are based on a visual novel from Japan. The movie was produced by Toei Animation before the series was produced. After the movie, the series came out, and was produced by Kyoto Animation, same people who did K-On!

Well,sorry to say this but the movie clannad is absolutely different from the series,did they just changed the artist or they made this before the series were born?

Also, am I the only one that noticed how INSANELY annoying they made Nagisa in the movie? I loved her in the series, but in the movie she practically stalks Tomoya.

No shit sherlock. I'm saying that at at least in the movie she lived 'till the end. And yes, I'm aware of the true ending of After Story. I'm just saying.

As much as I love Clannad,the movie sucked. The characters eyes ruined it and they didnt include Kitomi or Kyou's Sister -_-. Well,they did but they didnt play a big part which was dumb.

For those of you who don't know. This came out before the anime. When the movie came out, it did not get a lot of positive reviews since it left out all the other girls from the game. They decided to make an anime so all the other girls like Fuko, Kyou and Ryou, Tomoyo, and Mei could all have their own story arcs so it could feel more complete, in my personal opinion, Clannad is too long for a movie, so I prefer the game, and anime.
