great playing man. Good fingers help better than a good amp.

Haha. It's just a little reverb, and a little o.d. never hurt no one. Just messing around with some toys, not making the White album. I have since acquired a RockyTop JTM45 with Sozo caps, Heyboer trannies, KT66's and the whole nine. Running into some Weber Ceramic Blue Dogs. Is that enough to get my "cork sniffing gear junky" card back?

Sound great man, good playing too!

@CletusColtrane Try unplugging all of the crap and playing.

@PLUMBdogg I love my ME-50! I've had it for 7 years now. Get another Champion and run the ME-50 in STEREO! I use two silverface Fender Champs. Pure tonal bliss!

I know tubes are important, and tube sockets, too...but if you don't mind sharing your trade secrets...what kind of tube socks are you wearing in this video?????? They're awesome! I've got to get me a quartet so they'll last me all week.

Sweet tone.. great 'EC' style of playing! Thank you for sharing! :-)

@PLUMBdogg The ME-50 was my first rig, and let me tell you--you want to look to expand. It sounds fine when compared to itself, but once you put the modeler of the ME-50 against the real thing, there will be no comparison. That, and being able to stack effects of the same kind on top of eachother (like pitch shift +chorus, OD+fuzz, and multiple delays) is a wonderful thing that you lose on a pedal like the ME-50. But don't expand unless you're serious about it...it'll snowball.

@NintendoSinceBirth1 you unplug the 6" speaker that's plugged into the amp, and then plug your new speaker into that input. make sure to match impedance.
-
You have stolen Richie Blackmore´s pedal. Can only be. Please, give it back to him and send me the parameters. Nice timber. Goddem madafucka!..

great playing! i think the tone sounds awsome, its really thick

that is a bad ass jam.
Multi pedal units generally sux azz........get a ts808, maybe a bd-2....dd-3, compressor and some eq....that's it.......

@CletusColtrane "That's it"? Shit, all I got going on here is a little compression and the bd-2 setting for a touch of boost. I got all that stuff too, but the tonal difference is barely noticeable, plus I got a bass boost on the ME-50. The only thing that ain't up to par is the fuzz, but then again even high end fuzz pedals can sound shitty since everyone likes a different flavor of fuzz. I still say even after a few years, the Me-50 is capable.

A champ is a great amp, but the speaker sucks aaassss.
I now have a peavey classic 50. when I vonnect my champ to the C50's speakers, it sounds sweet!

@Guitarvirtuoso666 good point. I just posted an updated video with same setup. better camera and better audio. the speaker is good for just jammin at home but I think I would like to hear an alnico in there, maybe even get two amps with alnicos and try a stereo setup.

Boss ME-50 = garbage tone. You need one quality OD stompbox and you're set with this amp! Nice playing, terrible mulitieffects pedal.

@cwcashiniv I find most people don't dial it in right. It's a perfect grab and go setup. I have a dozen handbuilt pedals and while the tone is better, it's barely noticeable. After all, they all do the same thing, boost your signal and add hi/lo pass filters. I wouldn't go that far to say it's garbage though.
