On Sunday March 15, 2009 Radar Runs Madman Tom McConkey and the father son duo of DNE Performance Set a new World Speed Record for the fastest single engine snowmobile in 2000 feet at 190.0 mph. Speed was validated by the NBSSR race organization using a Stalker ATS radar gun. The engine is a custom built DNE performance 1700cc quad based on a rotax triple.The Sled is an Anderson Chassis previously owned by Chris Hanson/Lynn Anderson, the current twin engine world record holders on a NBSSR track and 192.2 MPH.
