Filmed at Syston in September of last year just outside Leicester.

You may have seen the footage of Bates Waltzer uploaded some time ago.

This is the multi angle version for the next DVD, the five minute segment took one night to film which an hour of footage was shot from different angales and took six hours to edit this and I'm pleased with the result.

The Bates waltzer always has a good mix of music ranging from 1980's reto pop to more modern trance and club mixes and just about everything else. It always has a good atmosphere both in the day and at night.

The ride travels on the Billy Bates fun fair run in around around Leicester it has a very freindly atmosphere and is very popular with families.

  • HAHA can so tell that's my Brothers voice speaking in the background haha! x

  • minted video mate how did you do that zoom in effect thing it was kool lol ?

  • A 'flatback' waltzer usually is faster than other hill arrangements, however if the machine is at the right speed and you have experienced lads on the platforms an equal hill waltzer cars will spin the same if you get what i mean lol

  • Sounds like Ken or James on the mike, oh,they were the days, the smell of hotdogs and diesel, the glimmer of the lights at the bottom of the road - a real magnet to pull you in so you can escape for a while- very well edited brilliant.

  • I know Billy very well, i worked with him 20 years ago and met my man on there who worked for Whittings, yep great atmos if u see him tell him Sarah sends her love!!

  • signum-i got what they need

  • anyone know the name of the 1st tune please looks a good atmos shame about the echo mike

  • yes nd it depends

  • I have noticed that on some waltzers the platforms have rizes and dips all the way around and on others the platform has one side which is almost flat - I am right in thinking that waltzers with a platform flat side spin faster - it's as if the flat side keeps the momentum of the spinning car going? ... Am I making sense?

  • great vid fantastic atmosphere as it should be very well done bates :)
