My first son was a hospital birth, complete with episiotimy, vaccum extraction (with added cuts to his head because of it) antibiotics, taken from me immediately, etc.. After that I searched for a gentler way to have my second baby, which was a wonderful homebirth.

 This was my third baby, and it was just awesome! I had a beautiful & peaceful labor outside, and a very gentle birth in my shower! I wouldn't do it any other way! zi so wish I had known about homebirth with my first son

I'm sure there are quite successful homebirths as so many support this practice. I do however hear that if there is a problem IT'S A DASH TO THE HOSPITAL to sort it out By then, in some cases, too late .Home birth can be a gamble and if one is prepared to take it, then the baby pays the price if things go wrong.. I hate to think some people may take this action (homebirth) just to try and prove a point
