Boys & Girls Club - April 18, 2009 (4)

On Saturday April 18 THE AWAKEN MOVEMENT is partnering with the Boys and Girls Club as well as local churches in Rockwall TX, for service projects to enhance the Clubs property. There will also be a carnival for the families of the community. This will be a great event! There will be inflatables, games and food for everyone. This will all run from 10am to 3pm.


AWAKEN is providing live music that will enhance the event. The AWAKEN band along with Chris August, Matt Wheeler and Austin Tullos will be playing as well as a live DJ.

The local churches will be volunteering to help run the carnival, paint, landscape and remodel the existing Boys and Girls Club. This will also benefit a program called Common Art that educates kids on computer design and other programs to equip them with knowledge for their futures. Participants of the event will receive information about ongoing opportunities to serve the Boys and Girls Club.

This is a great opportunity for the local church to come in direct contact with the needs of the community. It is not often that you can serve with your friends and family and have so much fun doing it! Proceeds from the carnival go to Boys and Girls Club.
