@osensei2987 I'm sharing your point of view. In cage fights there is a gloves,that protecting from too hard punches just like that big,soft boxing gloves. One hit from skilled karateka in vital point,and grappler in cage will be K.O. I don't claim that grappling sucks,though. But this way of fighting has lacks,just like striking.
Funakoshi was a real Spirit of Martial Arts,there will be no man like he,Morihei Ueshiba and Jigoro Kano anymore!

C. y practico karate desde los 6 años tengo 22 y tengo cinta negra en mi escuela y 1er kyu en ISKF como fuente principal OKASAKI 10°Dan y el maestro kanazawa como mi inspiracion tengo una escuela de karate pequeña y me gustaria unirme a su grupo para fomentar y practicar las historias de nuestro sol...

aun recuerdo el dojo kum desde que comence cn el karate a los 12 anios ahora ya tengo 40 , y recien conozco al maestro Funakoshi , que buen ki igual que de mis profes no como los gringos que veo en otros videos que lo hacen con mala posicion y asi llegaron a cinturon negro .

People often criticize traditional methods as being unrealistic and ineffective. We must know the historical perspective. In olden days people did not know how to fight empty handed the way they do today. In the olden days when funakoshi formalized shotokan people fought like John L. Sullivan. The error is when people hold to tradition and refuse to modernize their training methods. Ichi .. ni .. san doesn't cut it when your training for the modern ring!
