Johann Sebastian Bach 1685-1750, BWV 211Kaffeekantate

Schweigt stille, plaudert nicht

Recitative

Schweigt stille, plaudert nicht
Und höret, was itzund geschicht:
Da kömmt Herr Schlendrian
Mit sainer Tochter Lesgen her,
Er brummt ja wie ein Zeidelbär,
Hört selber, was ihm getan!

Aria

Hat man nicht mit seinen Kindern
Hunderttausend Hudelei!

Was ich immer alle Tage
Meiner Tochter Liesgen sage,
Gehet ohne Furcht vorbei.

  • Da sag nochmal jemand, dass bach humorlos gewesen wäre ...

  • @Samoriah James Taylor, tenor, and Rilling conducting.

  • Of all versions, this is THE best.

I wish I could find the rest.

  • Which recording is it ??

  • @grillkorv19 good for you. you know, you'll really learn a lot from studying bach, even from these funny little secular cantatas.
