  • Honestly, not only is pre-reading all assigned chapters and some review questions before attending lectures not realistic for Medical School, but it is also a huge waste of time.

My advice is to go to class and listen, don't take notes. Review the powerpoints from lecture. If you don't understand a concept on the powerpoint then look up the concept in the assigned reading.

Use study time to embed concepts into your brain. Repetition is not the key to learning. Proper encoding is.

  • Pre reading is always a good method... Man youtube haters stand down lol

  • I agree with TheLetterJ. Repetition or otherwise known as Rote memorization is not the key in memorizing/learning. If you are still in pre-med I would advise you to check out a website called pmemory.com. If you enroll (you have to pay but its worth the price) you will be a "student" on this website going through 60 courses. Nonetheless in 2-3 months of completion you will b able to memorize vast amount of information in fast amount of time. Its worth it.

  • dmw0619..how practicable is pre-reading...say for example...in one particular block exam you are taking physio, anatomy and embryology... each of this subjects contains about 14 chapters and each chapter contains about 30 pages.....Give me a step by step practicable easy to handle studying for a block exam , considering the above scenerio..pls add the number of hours that will be used in each subject and pls remember, there are only 24 hrs in a day....5 hrs is for sleeping...maybe 4 hrs...

  • @TheLetterJ I am not sure , I will go as far as saying repetition is not the key to learning

  • wtf? this video is full of shit. you don't have TIME to preread chapters in medical school. if you tried to preread the first semester you would fail. even if you preread 24/7 you wouldn't have enough time to cover anatomy, histology, biochemistry, AND Intro to clinical medicine.

this will work in college, but it will NOT work for medical school.

i'm giving this video 1 star, change the title.

  • dont know if you know this.. but under step one "pre-reading" in the 5th bullet where it states "How can this affect you[r]life individually?" your missing an r on the end of you. but overall, very useful info

  • Can you upload more videos ? love your video very much <3
