Fantastic. My grandfather used to sing and play this song for us all the time when I was a kid.

This song was covered by J E Mainer and His Mountaineers, and their version is available on a double cd from Rural Rhythm called "Roots Music of Rural America"

I used to watch THP every Sat nite. I loved it, and at age 16 had a fan club for Billy Mize and Cliff Crofford. Those were fun and simpler times.

He sure was a good lookin man!
Great clip! Gordon Terry was a talented fiddle player and entertainer. When June Carter joined the Johnny Cash touring show in 1962, Gordon Terry was usually the opening act and "Johnson's Old Grey Mule" was a favorite during his set. Thanks for posting.
