@l91camaroz28l I agree and its crazy that sum1 said the T/A had just as many mods as the cobra! There is no excuse like the #1 excuse by ford guys "the spr chrger makes up for the lost CI's to the LS1". Get real then take a 5.3 chevy and put a spr chrgr, full bolt ons, and put it in a T/A(the 5.3 is about identical to LS1 5.7). . LS1 with C/H,4:10's,stall,DR's,tune, full bolt, cobra pullied has no chance. They r fast but they dont tell u bout the 3:73's,tune, etc, LS1 thats all we need!

HOLY FUCK....

agreed! ppl say the cobra is stock and will beat a ls1. well they barely beat a ls1 and to me anything that is supercharged isnt stock. n/a vs boosted is never a fair fight

ewhat type bolt on's does the cobra have? THe trans-am has "after market" heads and cam, what about the cobra? looks like its on a stock long block huh? Then what do you mean the cobra has a boost control? its a blower car right? explain that?

Full exhaust (headers, cut-out etc). Boost controller probably isn't the right word, boost gauge and boost regulator mechanism are probably better words since the driver was running higher than stock boost on the blower. Turn up the boost you usually need a tune for it unless you want to risk breaking your engine right?

Thats right you need a tune to help prevent blowing the motor when you pully the cobra up.... other then that it sounds like the cobra just has exhaust and a pulley... in the end it looks like the trans am is more modded than the cobra..

Don't forget "Full Exhaust", that's long tube headers not just a muffler upgrade. There's also the spray and the solid rear end (stock the Cobra comes with IRS which doesn't launch as well and is heavier than the solid rear). The Cobra comes with a built motor to begin with, that's why they cost more.
I guess you could say that the Trans Am had more after-market parts but in the end they both spent about the same money on the set up. That's the point.
