@iLoveMyGun89 because it takes more mechanics and higher quality parts for a .223 gun to with endure firing combustion and recoil. if you try to use .22LR parts to fire a .223 or a 5.56 then your gun may retain some issues.

Why not? lol. Think about it. Why pay for .223/5.56 to plink around with when a .22lr is a fraction of that cost?
Obviously you're not going to mow down terrorists with a .22lr AR but for fun factor, GET ONE!
