@TransitionalApe Somewhat unexpectedly, kosher salt's name has nothing to do with it being kosher. I can't blame you for the confusion. It's actually called that because its large grains are (apparently) suitable for making meat kosher.

Ya I never understood how a book about rape, genocide, incest, etc was acceptable for children. If the bible and such weren't considered the norm it would be kept behind the counter of bookstores along with the porn and such.

Gum often contains glycerin, which can be made of animal fats.  Also, many food colorings have animal origins.

Gum can contain salt, and salts come in kosher as well as not kosher varieties. It is disturbing how murder in the bible is so flippantly passed on to children.
