Statistical fact? that's an oxymoron in itself. If YOU want to be taken seriously, cite your source for your statistics. because statistics can be made to say whatever they want. However, Tim Wise uses the U.S. census for his poverty ratios... so, yeah the most conclusive survey used by this country must be wrong

That's the whole point of his speech; we are not at fault but it IS our responsibility as rationale human beings to realize that the entire way this country was founded (on the backs of slaves and the pillagery of indigenous land) affects every aspect of our way of life. So it's now surprise that it's crumbling around us because what the majority of americans "know" about racism is a fallacy that they're content to cling to.

Theres more whites in poverty than blacks because fhis county is 50% white. Use all of the statistics. There are more blacks in poverty by ratio, not just the number.
