One Step Beyond - The Sacred Mushroom (4/4)

For centuries, the psilocybin mushroom has been used by some holy men (brujos) in Mexico for the exploration of extrasensory perception and for practical uses such as assisting their people.

In this video, host John Newland travels to Wahaca, Mexico, accompanied by a film crew and select scientists to explore the possibilities of psilocybin mushrooms. Newland ingests these mushrooms and the results of his experience are documented.

As you will see in this documentary, the psilocybin mushroom is not used by these highly experienced holy men for recreational purposes. Rather it is consumed as part of a serious spiritual rite.

excellent film - It is such a shame that they are spraying poisonous chemicals to destroy rainforest plants,these plants are sacred and indigenous people should be looked after as we can learn so much from them ,most are kind and peace loving - They are now becoming an endagered species like other peace-loving folk from around the world - If you are tempted to try experimenting - always have a friend who is sober and who is open and trusting with you; do it somewhere safe - like in countryside

Yes, mushrooms can help us "see" in new ways, but ESP is not one of them.
