Love your work and love how the girl in the start of the vid is trying to save on materials by wearing a thong. Just kidding, she needs a belt :).

Where are you guys doing that permaculture project?

@Vettezuki "Fair Share" is actually original to Permaculture and its ethics, maybe you need a refresher course at PRI.

It is only about profits in systems controlled by debt creation... if cost efficiency was allowed to bring supply and demand into equilibrium through human action as the AUSTRIAN ECON. SCHOOL shows us, then we would have discovered permaculture 100 years ago before the 16th amendment and the federal reserve system destroyed production in this country.
Permaculture inhibits the powers of government from creating social capital by sustaining our needs first.. it is a constitution.. Jeffersonian

I don't know when the "fair share" ethic started in the permaculture ethics. . . because it wasn't original. What was? Profit. Want to see permaculture take off as a design system that enriches our lives. Introduce the idea that the systems are spectacularly productive and sustainably profitable.

@pseudonamed Sounds sensible to me ; )

I think it is a valid point that some people are turned off by the "subculture" around environmentalism (which is not necessary to be an environmentalist). it's hard for people to picture themselves working alongside people they don't fit in with. I confess to trying to find the least new agey permaculture video to show friends who are interested in taking a course with me but who might not go if they think they're gonna be hearing new age stuff.

@FallenKain So, my plan is.. start a permaculture community, try to be as self suficient as possiible, stock pile birth control to keep birth rate sustainable, and weapons so we can fight off the looters when everything around us falls apart. Sounds cynical doesn't it? Sigh. I hope it doesn't come to that but I wouldn't be surprised.

Hate to break it to you man, but humans have to kill each other or die off naturally. Fighting for things, competition against one another, is the nature of life on this planet. ALL life. I'm a huge proponent of Permaculture, but you cannot expect world peace. The best bet would be regulated birth, like one child per family. Without death and competition, overpopulation is inevitable. My point to all this is that Permaculture is not necessarily the answer to all ills. Only many of them.
I have to say ScopedOUT2 has a well reasoned post. It has always surprised me that those who say they are for diversity, are the least respectful of those who do not do exactly as they think they should. Permaculture should be spread to as many as possible. Great video post also.

I love what you are doing. You are living my dream. I crave to be so close to something so meaningful to the real beauty of life. My disability confines to the indoors but I love watching videos like yours. I feel like I am there! :o)
Stay the way you are and realize how blessed you are to be able to do what you are doing. Thanks so much for sharing!!
