The Philippines was the only Asian nation to offer organized resistance to the Japanese throughout the entire war. That's because the Americans hadn't treated the Filipinos as subjects.

@nikemac84 They used Arisaka Typ 38 and Type 99 often with bayonet. Since 1940 they produced a shorter version of the rifle.
