A treat for all music lovers. Here's a good long clip of BBC Music Time a primary series for schools. I liked watching this at school and enjoyed singing too! There's a quiz in this clip so why not have a go yourself!! Enjoy!!

  • I also remember that you had to sing when told so we sang the words in schoolwhile watching !

  • They used to make you clap with 2 fingers which made noise impossible at Primary School. If you arrived in the TV room too early, you had to watch a clock thing going round accompanied by some rather bland music.

  • @Scrumdidilyumpchious I thought MT was really cool! Boring in today's standards but great at the time!!

  • Gawd this is so boring even now!!

Could never understand why as a kid I had to watch this at school - I learnt nothing from it

  • @michael196782 So did I, I would've been at junior school and this was my favourite programme! Great to hear it after all these years!! Cheers for the upload :)

  • I love Music Time Programmes for learning songs and playing beats of the music the part of the schools programmes on BBC2 is the best daytime schools programmes better than closing down

  • I was on this programme once playing the flower pots!needless to say I never did develop a musical talent.

  • I seem to remember that this was on before Dark Towers, love the way they go 'Listen!' very authorative.

  • 0:38 superb moustachemanship.

  • @MOSTechnology Being a pre-schooler in the (late) 80s I never had that problem, seeing as at such a young age you basically haven't formed your preconceptions at that age! Therefore, it was one of my favourite programmes.

Looking back of course it does seem a little stuffy and overbearing, to be fair. Maybe something mainly suited to three-or four-year olds like I was when I watched it...

  • I used to think this was crap when I was a kid in the 80's. Was out of date and boring even back then.

The presenters annoyed me as well for some reason.

  • Luckily for me, this is one programme I never had to watch at school. And, when I watched during half-term holiday, it got switched over rather promptly. I never liked the presenter. Seemed too much like some of the less aproachable teachers you had at school.
