"Did We Vote On YOUR Marriage?" - Vote NO On Prop 8

This is a personal video I made showcasing some of the best video clips and images since gay marriage became legal in California.

In May of 2008, the Supreme Court of California ruled the state was unconstitutionally discriminating against same-sex couples by denying them the "fundamental right to form of a family relationship": i.e. MARRIAGE.

However, in November 3 states, including California and Arizona will be voting on amending their state constitutions to ban same-sex marriage. Florida's ban would go further, and threaten domestic partnerships for unmarried couples, even if they're heterosexual.

All of the images and video clips were from California... however, gay rights groups in either of the 3 states would surely appreciate any donation possible.

When the secular government administers marriages, you don't get to drag 'sacred' into it. Religious marriage is up to each individual church to decide. Secular contract marriage is nothing to do with those churches whatsoever.

Personally, I'm not in favour of marriage changing your legal status at all. But if the government does that, they have a duty to do it evenly.

@snipermagoo as i have said, if it is discrimination then yes the courts do have the right to get involved. In my opinion i think the idea of marriage should be left up to the people to decide. The reason why people are fighting against gay marriage is that they want their marriage to be sacred. The pro gay marriage should be focusing their fights on legal rights and benefits for gay couples rather then getting the definition of "married". But no one wants to budge.

To be more accurate, they do listen. But it's their job to say so when the people are full of shit. Otherwise we'd still have slavery.

I live in canada and I could get married if I wanted to but what would that mean if I went to the states. My marraige wouldnt count?!
