I used to spend YEARS on this game, also my floppies were little corrupted and i wasn't able to save the game, so sometimes i was forced to leave the game on for days!! What a shame when electricity went down in those days, i had to start again the same league million times!! Thx for the video, and thx Speedball 2 - tournament is up again!!

I have to add (having watched some more) that I forgot that there was one element of this game that the sequel lost: the way you could just have a massive fight in one corner. I used to love shoulder barging the goaly or defender & then doing it again & again until they were moving like snails. This was the grind 'em down game play that was so much fun. Against the top teams though it wasn't just a fun option; it was necessary in order to score - & they only tired at the very end. Amazing game.

Thanks so much for uploading this beauty! I adored this game so much I couldn't believe the look of the sequel & thought they'd ruined it. How wrong I was. Speedball2 is perhaps my favourite computer game ever.

BTW I was a master of both. Knew no one who could beat me. Went through about 5 joysticks!

Beating Perseus in this was mega tough. Took me a long time.

Superb music too.
