To me it seems the M9/M13 is for people with a good tube amp already; with a good clean or distorted tone, but need the effects and routing this thing offers without breaking the bank buying separate pedals and cables and power sources. Dont let yourself think this thing will replace a good tube amp, its only meant to add to an already good amp. You wouldn't spend hundreds of dollars in gear to better a solid state amp would you? That'd be a futile effort to say the least.

Looks convinient but the distortion doesn't sound good.I'd still go with a pedalboard.

@Den1sVengeance i agree, but for a host of effects like delay etc. it would be a great addition to a pedal board!

To be honest, i kind of like the distortion on this, for some reason. i know someone with a M13 and it sounds sick, even through a solid state amp. So i'm really thinking about getting this and using this along with my analog pedals that i already own to just expand my sound.

I reckon this bad boys only any good for mods and delays and such, line6 distortion has always kinda sucked but the rest is spot on, for me anyway.

is it plastic??

I have those same shoes.

@bradtwo My thoughts exactly.i was thinking of buying the thing just for the effects and combine it with a good tube emulation pedal like for example blackstar ht dual.So i would get all the amp sounds from there and leave the rest of the effects to M9.As you said saves a lot of time space and....cables....lol.

Seems to be a no brainer in buying this pedal, compared to buying them individually. I actually own all the Line 6 modler pedals, and I really feel like i wasted my money. Especially on the filter on. But in a live environment, this thing is amazing, plus saves lots of space. Who really wants to drag 30 pedals to a live show?

After trying Line 6 M9 vs the TC Electronics Nova System in a side by side comparison............there was no contest. The Nova system effects sounded far more organic. The delays, choruses, etc.......were far more crisp. The overdrive/distortion were FAR superior but they are analog. The only plus to the M9 is it does not have the steep learning curve the Nova System has.......but if you have the time the Nova System is by far superior.

@notuern The Pearce can do clean to overdrive really well. The ISP covers just about everything, it really is a very versitile amp. I use the Ampeg for death/black metal and grindcore. I've just always liked solidstate amps. I agree you can get a lot of tones out of one channel tube amp based on tubes and pickups, but I dig solidstates.
