Rip Masters : Lonely Blue Boy -- Elvis Birthday Bash 08
Video by Ray Chavez.
Song, under its original title, "Danny," was written for King Creole movie, but not included. Conway Twitty then recorded it under this title and it was a huge hit. Rip, famous as a rockabilly and country piano player, is also a rippin' guitarist. His new album, "Back to the Honky Tonk," has just been released on Rattler Records.
@rockin1953 This song was originally recorded by Elvis under the title "Danny" with slightly different lyrics for the movie King Creole.

You do a great job on this song. Great singing.
I take it you don't like that guy on the drums, as you block him from camera view? (just kidding.)
My only problem is that I just can't get the video to play smoothly. It tends to stop on me.

Great song by a great performer. The heart on this guy pours out. Did he ever do any psychedelic rock?

Consider doing a tribute album to Conway Twitty. Heck he only had about 60 top ten records. Plenty of great material to choose from. My husband played bass on just about everything he ever did from back when Conway was still "Harold Jenkins." You two could knock off an excellent CD in a week.

Love it, Rip! Would love to see more -- or better yet, a live show.
