@jazzyjake99 It stands For Tower of Power . They were formed in Oakland , CA , USA back in the late 1960's . They had a couple of well known hits in the early '70s , " So Very hard To Go " , and "You're Still A Young Man " . Their popularity declined after their original lead singer Lenny Williams left . However , they stayed in the scene by being the backing horn section for Average White Band , and later Huey Lewis & The News . The TOP horn section is also featurred on "Honky Cat" .
I've seen TOP so many times in Seattle and it's ALWAYS a great show. Anybody remember Summer Concerts at the Pier (pier 62 that is)???? TOP and War together - 3 or 4 years in a row in the 90's. Absolutely kick-ass
