Women performing the tea ceremony is really a recent development. Traditionally in Japan women were forbidden from performing the tea ceremony. I may meet with static for saying this but tea brewing is an extremely manly activity. Most of the tea masters in China are men. They are often looked to more as gurus than tea-maids. It is tea culture coming from a different place. The man I studied tea with is a lion behind his pots.

Nice attempt, but the music is really spoiling the whole thing.

I don´t like it. Think that those electrical stoves don´t fit to the real ceremony. Too much electricity kills the spirit of such ceremonials. Therefore I prefer to use the old spirit stove :-). Nothing compares to the real flame. But, hey - whatever...
Yeah, the music and the fast motion at the start made it seem like a magic trick filmed in the 20's.
