Anyone who defends Cooke or idolizes him is a worse bastard than Cooke himself. The guy isn't a hockey player. He's a fucking asshole who injures for pleasure. Fuck him and anybody who thinks he's a hockey player.

Cherry's right here...The NHL real tough guy, makes people shudder just by thinking about him, enforcer is becoming extinct, which makes room for dirty, psychopaths like this. Not to mention that the creation of the "Instigator Rule" has to be the worst thing that ever could have happened to this sport and it's probably the only reason that Lucic or Thornton or anyone didn't pummel Cooke until he had a concussion as bad as Savard's after that hit....

Too many people are shortsighted when it comes to Cherry's views. Yes, he's a homer for the Bruins, but I think he showed none of it in this video. I think everything Cherry said in this segment is true. Just because he's overly-patriotic and sometimes a bigot, he's a smart guy and I respect most of his opinions.

@destructopoo I sort of think people are wondering why are the Bruins all of a sudden out of nowhere playing like the Big Bad Bruins again. Well, I think a big reason was this hit right here. At some point after they lost to Philly in the playoffs, I think Bruins brass and players sat down and said, "This is never going to happen to any one of our players again. We're going to play like the Big Bad Bruins to make sure it doesn't happen."
