http://www.looptv.net caught up with Adam Freeland and his live band backstage at the Concorde 2 just before they took to the stage - as part of Brighton's 'The Great Escape Festival'...to talk to them about the new album 'Cope™' and life in general as an electro superstar!
Cope™ does have its share of boldfaced guests—everyone from the 'Pixies Joey Santiago and 'Spinnerettes' Brody Dalle, to Jerry Casale of 'Devo', and 'Motley Crew's' Tommy Lee - however, at the albums core are the songs he wrote and performed with new vocalist Kurt Baumann, who also fronts the new 'Freeland' group, who recenlty made their concert debut at the legendary South By Southwest 2009 festival.
'I wanted to make more than just another artist project,' Freeland explains. 'I always saw Cope™ as a band album more than just another DJ slapping together a bunch of random club grooves. 'I wanted to create songs I could play live, not just DJ with.'
