Opening clip for the video I created for the 2006 Norman Rockwell Museum exhibition. Here, "Dinotopia" creator James Gurney talks about his earliest influences.
Oh my gosh, I think I know which science museum he is talking about (the one with the Allosaurus skeleton). I used to go there all the time as a little kid, and that skeleton was enthralling. That was the Academy of Sciences. They closed it for a couple of years, for reconstruction, but then they opened it again in September 2008. I still haven't had the chance to go, but I really want to. Wow, to think I stared at the same thing the genius creator of Dinotopia did! (Maybe).
