Hooptown International Youth Basketball to Host Weekly Thursday Night Skills Training & Upcoming 17th Annual Summer Basketball Camp.
Hooptown continues to teach basketball fundamentals in its 18th year of existence...

Hooptown has developed many student-athletes who have moved on to play at various collegiate academic institutions. Hooptown alumni have played or are currently playing at colleges/universities that include: Air Force Academy, California State University Chico, University of Hawaii Hilo, Brigham Young University- Hawaii, Hofstra University, Whittier College, University of Great Falls Montana, Pomona-Pitzer College, California State University Maritime, Los Angeles Pierce College, Los Angeles Valley College, and Pasadena City College.

Hooptown's most notable Alum, Alex Cabagnot Professional PBA (Philippine Basketball Association) Player, currently plays for San Miguel Beermen. Cabagnot was the Overall #2 Draft Pick of the 2005 PBA Rookie Draft. Cabagnot played on Hooptown's Traveling Teams competing against other top basketball talents across the country. Some notable players that Cabagnot competed against as a youth were Tyson Chandler (New Orleans Hornets) and Josh Childress (Phoenix Suns).

The Hooptown High School Travel Teams have visited Manila, Philippines in 1998 & 2009 playing against the top high school teams in metro Manila for goodwill games competition. Some of those schools included San Beda, Ateneo, and La Salle. For many of the players, it was their first experience playing against international competition. More importantly, this basketball tour not only provided them exposure to Philippine youth basketball but a firsthand experience of culture and family traditions. The next group of Hooptown players will be returning to Manila to play in the Summer 2011 Goodwill Basketball Games Tour of the Philippines.
