A tribute to four classic couples of the silver screen. This is the first time I have actually customized the timing on OneTrueMedia, so the clips can match the lyrics better. The beginning was terribly hard because the intro goes fast, but I am pleased with how it turned out. I used this song because I thought it mirrored the relationship of some of the couples really well. All four couples had difficult relationships, and none of the romances ended too well: Blanche ends up going to an asylum, Judy dies of glioma, Rhett leaves Scarlett, and Julie accompanies Pres to an island where all people with yellow fever are sent, even though he has married someone else. But, since I hate sad endings, I believe they can all achieve happiness eventually. Especially Scarlett and Rhett! Hope you enjoy the video as much as I do! Don't forget to comment & rate! :)

So very truly,
Alexa Nicole

Couples:

Blanche DuBois & Harold Mitchell (A Streetcar Named Desire 1952)
Judith Traherne & Frederick Steele (Dark Victory 1939)
Scarlett O' Hara & Rhett Butler (Gone With the Wind 1939)
Julie Marsden & Preston Dillard (Jezebel 1938)

The actresses included are Vivien Leigh and Bette Davis in two of their greatest films. Vivien won an Oscar for her performances as southern belles Scarlett and Blanche, while Bette won an Oscar for southern belle Julie and was nominated for Judy, but lost to Vivien's Scarlett. lol Ironic, huh?

The actors include the king, Clark Gable, George Brent, Henry Fonda, and Karl Malden.

  • @Shabannie So do I! I just can't bear the thought of them being apart from each other! Thank you very much, I'm glad you enjoyed it! :)

  • I agree with STHGWTW. The piano one made me quite teary eyed :)

OneTrueMedia is not quite an easy editing thing so I give you millions props because of the timing thing!! <3

  • I would have used it, but I didn't know it existed and the only version I had was this one. So sorry! But yeah, OneTrueMedia is really a pain when it comes to timing. Thanks so much for watching! :)

  • @rem2267 I don't need other people telling me when I should or should not use the term lol which I shall not capitalize. I can and will use it how I want whenever I want. You are not my personal Grammar Police. But while were on the level, it's Vivien Leigh not Vivian Leigh. On the other hand, glad you liked the video.

  • @LexiixoxRoxx 2 completely unnecessary usages of 'lol,' which, by the way, is an acronym, and should always be capitalized. And punctuation is thrown out the window, of course. I like the couples, though, especially from 'Jezebel.' I love the way Pres prononounced her name: "Joo-LEE." You could add 'Waterloo Bridge' to the list of doomed Vivian Leigh films as well.

  • Thanks dear! I tried my ultimate best to match the pics flawlessly, even though some were very difficult. The part where she says "And I stare at the hone" really bothered me because in the times of Jezebel & GWTW, they didn't hve phones and I couldn't find any pictures of the other movies with a phone in them. But my improve was pretty good, I guess :) Thank you so much for watching!

  • "Sidewalks of London" and "A Yank at Oxford". At least in those films nobody dies or ends up insane. But still, the majority of her films are not feel-good films. lol But beautifully tragic instead :)

Thanks for watching and commenting! And rating lol

  • I know! Suddenly the timing of pics seems much easier and I've improved greatly. It's the fastest song I've vid :) I'm a huge fan of Taylor, I love all her songs. She's an exceptional songwriter. I've nevr heard the piano version actually. Maybe I will try it, but I'll have to download that version of the song from iTunes first. I have so many things I want to vid! Vivien's films are all about tragedy. None of them really end happily. The only two films of hers that I've seen end well are

  • Dear! I can see how much you are gotten used to OneTrueMedia now! The timing is acceptable though the song goes fast. Well,a fan of Taylor too? Perhaps you can also try the piano version of this song. It's rather sad.

Most of Vivien 's movies featuring tragic endings, hoho, can we say she's the queen of tragic movie?? HAHA.

    5 STARS.^_^
