Well, I can understand written Japanese with the help of my word processor, and can form basic statements, and can pronounce it very well once I know what to say. But I'm not functional. I studied it in 1990. Forgotten so much... But I could read and understand what you wrote, so no worries there.
Anyway, I'm just making an educated guess. I recognize the tune but can't name it. I know Scott plays these Tichenor/Shea/Campbell pieces, and know that title. And this slows down like a train, so...

Thanks for correcting Ron. As I knew Tom Shea's name and read about his great ragtime achievement I had never had the opportunity to hear one single of his compositions.
By the way I knew you can speak japanese so I am glad that besides our common love of ragtime music we have also this in common.

This sounds like an improvisation in blues style. From 1:05, Mr Kirby obviously quotes the second strain from Scott Joplin's The Entertainer....
