It may be that Joni's insight, along with the ability to express it within the (somewhat) limited structure of a song, far surpasses her contemporaries--of course Dylan/Paul Simon/ect., were masters, but my final analysis is that Joni ultimately triumphs!

By the way.... I think the so-called "Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame" should be snubbed by artists from now on.
It's a joke. I would LOVE it if a TRULY major artist did not accept the award.
SO many are in that shouldn't be COMPARED TO who SHOULD be.

Thanks for the upload. Joni Mitchell commanded the attention of millions of fans with her truly original work. How is it she is not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? Compare to the typical female vocalist, especially today. She sold her talent only, not her soul. She will always be a class act in my book.

My mistake. I decided to check and she is indeed an inductee. She was inducted 1997. Sorry about the confusion.
