Oooooh Neil was a cutie and I bet a charmer. I see what you mean by hot and cold running groupies......no wonder Jimmy kept coming down with glandular fever!

I bought this as a kid. Unfortunately, never got to hear anything else by him. Gather there's a compilation CD out. R.I.P.

Must have been around 1967/68, when Neil performed at a club called "Centrum 2000" in Berlin, Germany. Ritchie Blackmore was with him also. They were in need of a backing band for the event. I played at the club with my band the same night and we sat in with Ritchie B. and backed up for 2 or 3 songs. I remember doing "That´s nice" because Ritchie B. complained to my drummer and told him to keep time, haha!

I was Neil's roadie in the early sixties with Jimmy Page & Albert Lee. On one gig he swung from the stage curtain rail & brought it crashing down, & another one he jumped off trhe stage onto what he thought was solid ground, which turned out to be a dust cover, & disappeared into the orchestra pit. This is a great trip down Mammary Lane!
