This student film has a young artist lodging in some deranged gothic mansion estate turned hotel while the other inmates of this sort of spiritual asylum wage war over his soul. The aesthetic of these saturated 70's films with these haunting soundtracks really appeal to me (and only me apparently as this film has a 2.0 imdb rating). This scene seems to portray some sort of Platonic idea of recollection with this reoccurring image of this girl and the artist's perpetual chase towards that limerent object.
