Azusa Ca., November 7, 2010 - The RSP (Recruit Sustainment Program) program is designed to prepare newly enlisted Army National Guard trainees for the rigors of Basic Training. Trainees report for RSP at 0700 Saturday morning and will receive classroom and field instruction in subjects such as Drill & Ceremony, Physical Training, The 7 Core Army values and additional blocks of instruction that will allow the trainee to meet and exceed the standards placed before them at Basic Training.

During this weekend, trainees are observed by cadre in order to identify those who display above average qualities in Leadership, Integrity, Dedication, Physical Fitness and an overall Warrior spirit. Some of these warriors have been in the guard less than one month yet their motivation and actions confirm their place as future leaders in the California Army National Guard.

Being recognized as Novembers Top Warriors from left to right are
PFC ____________, PV2 Monica Morosi, SPC Taryn Carfley and PVT Frank Soto.

Take advantage of all the education benefits the government allows by serving part time in the California Army National Guard.

Most Guard soldiers serve one weekend per month and two weeks during the summer while pursuing their college education. Use the National Guard education benefits to get your degree or transfer your college benefits to your spouse or children. Either way, the National Guard makes it easy and affordable to pursue higher education and realize your life goals. Additionally, you can use your educational benefits to attend most Vocational, Technical and Trade schools too.

The California Army National Guard is the largest private employer in the state for good reason. You serve in the military as a reservist while keeping your regular civilian life. It's the best of both worlds, that's why they call us Citizen-Soldiers. You get all of the benefits of being in the military without having to reorganize your entire life.
