Eurovision is a joke I only watch because Terry Wogan does the talking (for the English Channel) and he is so blazé about it its quite funny .. but yeah all the voting for their neighbours etc .. yeah yeah BIG JOKE

A Dutch politican has put forward an idea for a brand new, Eurovision-style song contest for member countries of the European Union comprising only the member states of the European Union with official language rule, as the Eurovision Song Contest did for many of its years.

The new format would address several issues raised in recent editions of the Eurovision Song Contest, such as neighbourly voting. suggestions, including a split between televotes and a jury vote to determine the winner.

It was in French because the versifier and composer (Korgialas, who also plays the electric guitar) is the son of Greek emigrants and spent most of his chidlhood in Belgium.
