I just want to make sure this gets out to enough people to force Congress to act immediately on freeing us from the Oil crisis! Don't let the major Oil company sweep this under the rug!

  • amazing? these people, govt..they all know...nature provides for everything...but here in Amercia...the wealthy oil blood suckers would rather watch this country go to hell..just as long as they get rich...they will all burn in hell

  • I am a sophomore in high school and I know more chemistry than the people who posted this video. As ChemistryMikeUK said, the only reason that salt water is "burning" is because it is being zapped by an extremely high energy source. The reason it burns with that orange flame is because the Na+ ions are being excited and when they fall back to lower energy states they release some orange light. Same thing as sodium vapor lamps. Can't believe a news program would actually broadcast this stuff.

  • @amishnation What's up amishnation? I'm a college sophomore now. The cause of the color of the flame does not matter. The main point of what I was saying is that this is not a revolutionary discovery for clean energy because the benefit of producing hydrogen is vastly outweighed by the energy cost of "zapping" the test tube (this is way less efficient than hydrolysis for example). It's just that the news program and inventor try to make this sound like a solution when, to me, it obviously isn't.

  • @wilysily We had an electron microscope and a sputter-coater at my school. Gold ions produce a purple light when their electrons are excited to their outer orbitals. Sodium does the same thing in a different color but it doesn't disprove anything the man is saying. And no you don't know more anything than the people who posted this video.

  • @wilysily That's hydrogen burning and its a viable source of energy for whatever you might need. Whether you use radio waves, solar or wind power to separate the water molecules, it is still energy that could potentially be free. Hydrogen containment is also no longer an issue. Scientists have begun producing tank materials in pressurized chambers. The atoms of materials made under several atmospheres, compress more tightly together to keep hydrogen trapped..

  • put on in 2007 have never heard of it - wheres it at - must be fake

  • make a big one and aim it at the ocean lol

  • @otheuin...dude I wish thats all i had to pay..

  • @MrRainbowhead Thank you.

  • @Bagatronic i think it depends on the frequency, but the rf generator could be powered by solar panels along with batteries. this is a viable idea, but should be careful with it. High RF waves are linked to cancers (ironic ) RF signals can be blocked by other waves or white noise, so if they implemented it. it would have to be housed in like a power plant and shielded. potential problem that someone else commented is displacement of global waters.

  • I think you have to be very careful with any new tech. History is a great teacher. for example is nuclear tech, the down side is radiation like 1980's Chernoble (still not fully cleaned up) , then Japan 2011 with melt down. The concept of using Nuclear energy was a great idea, but the long term shows there is no such thing as a true safe nuclear power source.

  • If we could some how get the cost of running a mass radio frequency generator to set all these engines full of salt water that would be great. Who knows? Might actually work.
