Marshall County JV Cyclones JFL vs Brimfield 10/10/09 1st QTR of the game.

Saturday Marshall Co Cyclones J.V. traveled to Brimfield for a 9am game. Frost covered the field at kickoff. Frost also cover the Cyclone defense as they came out cold in the first half allowing the first points allow since the first play in the first game. Brimfield would take the opening kick off 55 yards for the score. The Cyclone offense would try to answer but dropped passes and fumbled snaps stalled the drive. The offense could not seem to move the ball in the first half. Brimfield would add another score to make the halftime score 12-0. The Cyclone offense would take the opening kickoff of the 2nd half all the way down to the 10 before penalties would move the ball out of scoring range . The Cyclone defense would warm up in the second half holding Brimfield to no points. The Cyclones added a new dimension to the offense passing the ball 50% of the time. Quarterback combo Cassidy Corbel and Marshall Rinaldo would combine for 149 yards passing . Many passes due to the cold weather were dropped or the numbers could have been in the 300+ yards range and score would have been different. With 1:54 left in the game the Cyclones had 80 yards to go. Marshall Rinaldo marched down the field and hit Miranda Osborn for 46 yard TD pass as time ran out. The final score was 12-6 Brimfield. The Cyclones record now 3-2 face Dunlap next week at home. The totals for the game rushing leaders Pono Peterson 62 yards on 9 carries, passing Cassidy Corbel 3 of 10 for 56 yards Marshall Rinaldo 4 of 11 for 93yd Td Receiving Miranda Osborn 4 catches for 102 yards TD , Timmy Keller 1 rec 9 yards , Adam Lou 1 rec 22 yards , Ethan Zulz 1rec 16 yards. Defensive leaders Pono Peterson had 13 tackles 1int , Ethan Zulz 10 tackles 4 for losses 1 fumble recovery.
