Nice guy -chatted to him once about playing this way. He plays in D tuning. I told him that I could do the right hand picking okay but hadn't a clue about fretting with the steel. He was very helpful and good to talk to. I have tried this style but using the steel properly really does require a lot of practice and so far I haven't applied myself. Now that I have found these videos I may start again. Great music and great player.
