AMD Giving Up? ASUS Transformer Prime & Pokemon for Computer Geeks

Is AMD hanging it's Desktop CPU shoes up? quoted by Mike Silverman of AMD "We will all need to let go of the old 'AMD versus Intel' mindset, because it won't be about that anymore." So what does that mean?

For those curious about the Transformer Prime from ASUS, it will be hitting the shelves December 19th, 2011 just in time for the Holidays!

If you want to check out more of the CPU Wars Card Game check out the guy's kickstarter page! He's almost hit his goal. http://goo.gl/O4kO9

  • @medallish well this year amds releasing products like crazy. just a few are there piledriver series and theree trinity series. also next generation apus and fx cpus. intels only releasing there ivy bridge which will most likely cost the amount of a small car.

  • That card game looks retarded...

  • rip off don't send money

  • @ColdEndeavor ATI/AMD>NVIDIA,son

  • AMD won't drop out of the x86 CPU race, but right now they have to focus on optimizing their current CPU's, I think the Bulldozer architecture has tons of potential, we already see CMT scales close to just as well as two full feature cores, but the slow cache and power use(once it gets at a certain frequency) are issues they need to work out before trying to make an Intel beater.

  • nice falcon in the background, only company i would buy a prebuild/custom build system from...

  • @woobiwoodpecker1

    you dont understand.

hasbro has copyrights on the name Transformers(C) Prime, asus has copyrights on the name Transformer Prime(C)

    therefor they cant sue them.

  • @HoLDoN4Sec hasbro sueing them for The name

  • @woobiwoodpecker1

that tv show has copyrights only on the transformers brand, not no the transformer prime brand (notice there is no S in the end of transformer Prime(tablet) and that the tv series actually has no copyrights on the Prime part of its name)

  • If AMD gives up, I give up PC gaming too! Intel would be unchallenged and can raise prices like there is no tomorrow. And Nvidia would die cause now with AMD giving like 60% of their resources to their video card RND (I think) they are sort of evenly matched. AMD giving it 100% only at graphic cards they would smoke Nvidia and would then raise their prices as well. So where does that leave PC gamers?

AMD is a company for helping us PC gamers whether we like it or not.
