Ok, I saw it commin'.
I had a lot of troubles with that video. It took about 3 minutes for each take (reloading and stuff). I've even changed one of my ministers to receive +5% to "coup nation", but it has no affect on the process (I guess there are some bugs).

I know it's not relevant to this part, but I was wondering about something.

In another WWII game similar to this one, Making History, it takes forever to conquer countries like England and France because they have so many tiny colonies all over the world. Is that the case in Hearts of Iron?

yea, it seems you were a little bit unlucky there with the coups?! I tried with USA and couped GER with about 26 I think :D

I wonder though, how many tries on average it takes to coup a regular country (you can't coup stalin very easily because he's a backroom backstabber so you get a huge penalty for couping against him but if you coup WITH stalin against others, you get a discount for money cost)

Well, sort of. Game keeps enemy's fleet until you annex them. So sometimes it's very annoing, when you have to go as far as Australia to capture the last 1 star english province. But fully annexing a country doesn't give you that much of a bonus - you already have their territories..

And in Hearts of Iron pressing a certain button doesn't matter that much. Good overall decisions and strategy - that what brings you victory!
