ADA Serena Southerlyn faced a difficult decision when she performed a heroic feat earlier in the show. Doing so, her actions placed her in violation of DR-1-102 and here is the video of Serena's hearing before the disciplinary committee. This clip was taken from season 12's "DR-1-102" episode

I always felt that the intellectual content of Law & Order started to steadily decline after season 9 / 10 as a function of the producers trying to bring in a larger audience. This is the reason the later seasons lost much of its appeal to me. I am glad to discover, though, that even the later seasons can muster the intellectual power of old.

I wish Memphis Beat never got cancelled. It was a different kind of cop show in a good way. I personally liked watching it (plus this show's police were just as charming and comedic as Van Buren and her array of detectives)
