  • holy dannng we can tell that war has increased and 1800-1900 was europe darkest days :I

  • And were still at it, hope than in 20 years in the future when someone else will make a video like this, there will be nothing to show on the map!

  • something of a grim ending to that video

    - good video though

  • The Yom Kippur war comes up big.. why???? Not the best

  • What a depressing conclusion: To be continued...

  • and the colombian war since 1948 until today?

  • WW2 was a big boom

  • ...And where are the historical wars fought between Native American nations and white settlers in North America as the result of western expansion, and the historical battles between various Native American groups?

  • ..However, that excuse only works so far. China, Central Asia, and India have great written records and are known for being hotbeds of conflict just as much as Europe, the Middle East, and Japan. We're also aware of the wars of conquest undertaken by the Aztecs and Incas before Columbus sailed the ocean blue, yet these are not depicted. West Africa also has a well-documented history of empires like Mali and Songhai rising and falling, through what other method but war?

  • Interesting concept, but the execution is rather limited... True, for some parts of the world, it is difficult to know what wars were going on in the early centuries due to lack of written history - Central and Southern Africa, the Americas north of Mexico and east of the Andes, and Australia, for example. For some regions, the dominant culture is incompatible with our concept of "war" - an informal skirmish between two rival bands of Inuit can't be compared to an organized European crusade...
