Kevin Garnett: KG, born in 1976, Greenville, South Carolina, is one of basketballs greatest ever success stories; not only was he the first basketball player in 20 years to go straight into the draft pick from high school in 1995, but he also became an Olympic gold medallist and an NBA champion with the Boston Celtics. Kevin Garnetts career is a story of talent, determination and success.

From the start of Kevin Garnetts remarkable career, spectators and competitors alike have marvelled at the attitude and physical prowess that he imposes on the basketball court. Snapped up from high school at the tender age of 19 by the newly formed Minnesota Timberwolves in 1995, Kevin Garnett eventually went on to become the cornerstone of the Timberwolves and a superstar at the Boston Celtics; where he fulfilled his dream of becoming a State Champion in 1998. Finishing his career with eleven NBA All Star appearances, along with being voted league MVP and winning the State Championships, it is clear that Kevin Garnett had finally fulfilled all of his early promise.

  • When he played at Minnesota he was the most complete player in NBA history. He could block. Rebound. Run the break. Pass. Shoot. He did it all. He was like a point shooting small power centre forward.
