Email Bill to make arrangements for INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: scopehed@frontiernet.net (Please let him know that MILAPSE sent you! (full disclosure: I receive a small sales commission))
Bracket: 3.5" x 9.5" x 1/8" aluminum plate, 90 degree bend at about 3.5", the hole pattern is 4 X 1-1/16" O.C. (3/16" dia). The 1/4" holes to receive the camera mount depends on the camera tripod grommet position. If you had the plate bent you could tap the holes with a home shop drill. If you take the head and your camera to a metal shop it should only take them 5-10 minutes to fabricate something.
If you want to learn more about the controllers here are the manuals:

The spelling is: Sidereal check out the Wikipedia entry but it's basically 360 degrees in 24 hours. (rotation of the earth)

Will this be useful for shooting stars at night? Cause I am wondering if the movement of the motor will induce motion blur to the pictures at long exposures.

I think the confusion stems from the fact that it's correctly pronounced with 4 syllables, not two. As in "Si-deer-ee-al" or occasionally "si-dair-ee-al."
Probably not a word that non-astronomy geeks hear spoken aloud too often. so reading it "side-reel" is probably understandable.

So I got my ratios all set up and I tried to do a timelapse but it doesn't seem like the head is actually moving when I hold down the arrows. I can hear the motor but when i watch the degrees I dont see anything changing. When you hold down the arrow keys do you need to be in a specific part of the menu?

I'd consider buying this but that product description page is atrocious. Have you guys ever heard of formatting?

great video! thanks a lot for sharing your experiences, very inspiring!
There is one thing I couldn't figure out. may you can help me by that:
I want to make a 360 degre pan (rotation) within a period of 24hours.
Do you think that's possible with the 494 controler?
(I think about buying the ds-2000 with the 494 controler)

video rules, timelapse sucks, UNLESS its 15fps and fast shooting camera 1-3fps..with video u can have smooth motion while timelapse is mostly JERKY.
