"Stat crux dum volvitur orbis".
I liked the Carthusian order since I was child, I visited personally many Charterhouses and Serra St. Bruno too.
St. Bruno wrote the Carthusian vocation is a mystery known only by who has experienced it, not everyone is called to such life but knowing it will help to rediscover the contemplative dimension inherent in every Christian existence
and to give more space in our daily.

  • Excellent and spiritually moving. I'm happy that there are still young people who have bravely responded to the call of God to sacrifice everything and retire to a cloistered life in silence and contemplation. God bless them. May their vocations abound.....

  • what about carthusian nuns?

  • hola

  • According to a video I saw about the Trappist monastery Gethsemane Abbey (Kentucky), a member of the Enola Gay crew became a member of that community. Apparently he was the community photographer. This is what one monk said who was interviewed for the documentary that came out about 2 years ago.

  • Thankyou very, very much for posting these.
