  • what is the cfm's of ur compressor & how many gallon

Is this compressor sufficent enough to do a job like that? (10 gallon 4hp) 4.5 SCFM @ 115 PSI / 5.6 SCFM @ 90 PSI

    6.2 SCFM @ 70 PSI / 7.2 SCFM @ 40 PSI

    Hvlp gun is rated @ like 6.5 or 7. cfms @ 40 psi...thanks

  • @homes24 Hi!

Unfortunately I don´t know anything about PSI-rates cause i´m european and we have Metric and litre scales.

We had 2compressors linked together wich produced 800-900litres per minute.

I believe you have about 200litre bottle and 4hp seems quite good for the job, i believe it produces enough air to do the job. As long as you have you gun set up correctly so it won´t take air too much. If you don´t have regulator on your gun remember that 10meters of air hose takes about one bar...

  • @21380 ...pressure away. So if you have 15meter air hose i´d recommend to use about 4.5 bar pressure on compressor so you have 2-2.5bar on tip of gun.

Check your pattern so it stays nice as you spray. Straihgt vertical pattern little bit ellipsis shape and you have good pressure. If pattern is wider on the ends you have too much pressure and if pattern is much wider in center you have too litlle pressure. Hope you understand my gibberish.

And remember: FULL trigger pull for gettin it wet...

  • Did the Brandywine show up at all when you where done? Kandy isn't suppose to be sprayed over black because it won't give it the correct effect, or it won't show up. I noticed from the other video that you sprayed some flake before the kandy, did that help with the kandy effect?

  • isn´t supposed?

This was made regarding HOK instructions. The purpose of black base, silverr flake and candy is to make the flake bling when the light hits paintjob. Check out my other videos, there is a walkaround.

  • Love ur work man :) wanna paint mine too ?:P

  • No :D Way too much to worry about in these kinds of jobs :D

  • @21380 after conversion i have a 45 Liter 4HP Compressor. The hvlp gun has a regulator on it along with the air filter/dehumidifier The hose is 15 Meters which is about 1.5 bars. Is this a sufficient setup for a car like this? Thanks... I used to know the Euro scales & measurements but then I got brainwashed by america... lol

  • I have always used 4-1-1 its what my tech sheet says from the site.

  • @MrKustomking u dont kno wat ur talkin about....

  • So if my car gets keyed by some jelou scum. How hard will it be to colour match that area? Will it be a full side respray im guessing?

I can spot a miss matched spray job a mile off.

How would you go about this? :)

  • Comment under mine very well true.

Should of been sprayed under a silver and or white Base rather than black base and a slight tint of silver flakes..But oh well, whatever your intentions were, i hope it worked out for you haha

  • I LOVE BLACK BMW
