@Eagle1Division2 that is what I meant.. they were planning to stop at different airports along the way for the general public to see it..., like I said though I dont know if that's going to happen still

@sledger25 But that's not really an abnormal cross-country trip, unless you mean stopping at different airports along the way...

@Eagle1Division2 they were planning to put it on the back of the 747 that they use to transport it back to kennedy... I dont know if they are going to do it though any more

@sledger25 This sounds interesting!... How do they do a cross-country tour with the shuttle? It's not like you can hitch it up and pull it along the interstate or anything...

@SoaringEagle2005 its the sound of the APUs (auxiliary power units), they produce the hydraulic pressure for the steering surfaces.

@TheGrundmaster I think they're planning for the last shuttle mission to land at Edwards instead of Kennedy so they can do a cross country tour of the last space shuttle to ever fly... but dont quote me on this...
